Double Buns & French Braids Updo~ my look for today

Hi everybody!

Last night I was watching a favorite show on DVD, and the girl had two small French braids with a half-updo. Since my hair is too long to wear down, even in a half-updo, I made the two small French braids and then crossed the braids in an "X" pattern. I put my hair into two pig-tails and made double buns. My butterfly clips have held them in place all day long!

Rope Lace Braid and Rose Bun

Hello everybody,

I hope you had an amazing week-end and that your new week is off to a great start!

Yesterday I made a rope lace braid around my head, and then made a side rose bun with the length of my braid.  (A rope braid is made with only two sections of hair that wrap around each other.)  I liked the way the bun turned out~ larger loops in the middle with a smaller rope braid around the outer edge.

Lilith Moon has a video on a similar style.  I actually did not learn how to do this lace rope braid from Lilith~ I used to have a paperback braid book with black-and-white pictures, and one of the styles was this easy lace rope braid.  And the Long Hair Community was where I first found out about a rose bun~

High Sock Bun (or "Cinderella Updo")

Lace braid updo~ my look for today

Happy Saturday!

Today I made a lace braid around my head, almost like a crown braid.  I took the length of my braid and made a loose braided bun in the center back.  Here are some pictures:

Slanted Accent Braids & Side Bun

Hello all, 

Thank you for all the views and comments!  Here are pictures of my hairstyle yesterday.  I went for something simple and easy~ four slanted accent braids with a side bun.  Since my shirt had a heart on the front, I used my heart hairclip to match :-)
