One-Strand Rosette Updo~ version 2

Hello everyone,

I hope you had a lovely Sunday!  I fixed my hair in the same fun style as yesterday, with just a few minor differences.  This time I started the rosette knots in the middle, and made two buns held in place with hair clips and bobby pins.  I didn't use quite as many bobby pins today as yesterday~ when I took my hair down last night the final count was 55!

Fun with Finger Crochet

My braid book came in the mail!  It is amazing~ soooo many beautiful braids and updo's, I have never seen such gorgeous hairstyles and such detailed instructions!  The book's title is "A Different Approach to Hairbraiding" and it was written by Raychel Potter. I got it on Amazon, and she has other books available, too!

My first attemps with finger crochet as accents to a low bun~ the first two are with a flash, but the rest of the pictures were taken without a flash:

My look for today~ Side-swept French braid

Hi friends,

I hope you are having a beautiful month of April so far!  Today I fixed my hair in a favorite way~ a poofy French braid with part of my hair, combined with a low bun.  Everything is held in place with the clips you see and 5 or 6 bobby pins.  I did not put my hair into a ponytail before making my bun, which is out of the ordinary for me.  But this look has still lasted all day long!

Today was bright and beautiful~ and very windy!  I made a waterfall braid then added the left-out hair into a parallel French braid.  This double braid reminds me of shoe laces~ so, a Lace-Up Braid :-)
