Rope Braid Updo with wet hair

Hey again,

I liked this look so much I decided to post twice in one day!  I washed my hair this morning, so it was still wet when I made a zig-zag lace rope braid and pinned the length of my braid into a low bun.  A very nice hairstyle for wet hair!

My look for today~ Side Dutch Braid & Braided Bun

Hey everybody, 

With all the rain we have had lately, everything is looking very green and alive!  Even the purple hibiscus plants that a friend gave me are growing~ I can't wait to see them bloom.  I've seen the flowers at her house, and they are a lovely lilac color.

As for hair~ my look for today was a slightly tumbled-looking side Dutch braid with a braided bun.  I pulled on the sides of the braid a little bit to make it appear bigger.  Thanks for stopping by to view my latest post!

Spiral Rope Braid

Hello everyone,

I watched Lilith Moon's amazing tutorial on this spiral twisted braid and tried it myself.  Well, either my hair is too long or I just don't have the coordination it takes to braid in a spiral pattern around my own head.  So I came up with a faux-version of this hairstyle that I actually really like!  Instead of starting the spiral braid in the center back of my head, I started in the upper left-hand corner and braided around the outer edge, leaving the hair in the middle out of my braid to be added in later.  When I had finally finished adding all my hair, I finished the rope braid and wrapped the length of the braid around my head, between the French-rope braided sections.  I held everything in place with bobby pins, and my hair is still up and in place tonight.
