New antler and dymond wood hair forks!

Hello again everybody,

Two posts in one day!  But I could not wait to share these pictures with you of a special surprise that my sister and I got in the mail this week from our dear friend at Grah-Toe Studio~ a beautifully hand-crafted set of antler hair forks for my sister, and a gorgeous dymond wood 2-prong hair fork for me! I highly recommend that you visit Grah-Toe Studio's Etsy store if you are looking for a perfect set of hair sticks or a hair fork. My hair hasn't moved all day, and it feels totally light~ not heavy at all!

Short Ponytail for Long Hair

Hey everybody,

Thank you so much for helping us reach 50,000 page views!!  How exciting!  I appreciate everyone who subscribes, views, and comments~ how fun to get to share all these braids and hairstyles with you.

Here are some pictures of a new favorite look~ I call it a short ponytail for long hair.  First I combed my hair back smooth and put it into a low ponytail.  I wrapped the top section of my ponytail around my fingers into one big loop, and held this first loop in place with a hairclip.  Then I made a second loop and clipped it in place on the right.  I took the remaining section of hair and pulled it up and over and formed a third loop on the left.  I held this last loop in place with another hairclip and was good to go!  The best part about this look~ it lasts all day long and it really frames your face from the front.

Rope Braid Bun

Hi everybody,

I hope you are having a beautiful June so far!  Here are pictures of a hairstyle I made a few days ago with several rope braids.  I made two rope braids on each side of my head. Then I put the left-over hair in the middle back section into a low ponytail and braided that hair into a rope braid.  I wrapped this center braid up into a bun, then arranged the side rope braids over and around it and pinned everything in place with bobby pins.

I like the loose-look my hair has on the top part~ I guess that is because not all my hair is pulled back into the ponytail.

Loose Fishtail Bun with Ponytail Accents

Happy Saturday!

Here are a few pictures of my look for today~ you see that I went with my little ponytail holders again, like I did yesterday in my Fun Ponytail Updo.  This time I arranged the ponytails like a headband, and put my hair into a mid-ponytail.  Then I braided my hair into a loose fishtail braid and wound the braid up into a bun.

Thanks for viewing!
