Layer Bun & Braids~ my look for today

Hi again :-)

After my earlier post from today Micronesian Girl~ Spiral Braids, these pictures seem rather anti-climactic.  But instead of waiting till later, I'll go ahead and post them now.  Who knows what other looks I may want to post a few days from now...

My bun is actually just a spiral or cinnamon bun, but instead of leaving it sticking straight out I folded it back down against the back of my head and held it in place with matching hairclips on either side.  The top part of my hair is two lace braids and three English accent braids~ no "before" planning, really, it just turned out this way :-)

Side Braids~ fun way to dress up a braided bun

Hi everybody,

I got the idea for these side braids from a look by Hair Romance~ they are a quick and easy way to dress up a braided bun.

First I made four side English braids (2 on the right and 2 on the left.)  I put the rest of my hair into a low ponytail.  Then I added the side braids to the center ponytail and braided all my hair together in one long English braid.  When I wrapped my braid up into a bun, the end of my braid would go under the side braids so that they appear to be coming out of the center of the bun.  I'm not sure how obvious those details will be, but here are some pictures :)

Mini-cornrow braids with a big braided bun

Hey everybody,

Today my original three Dutch cornrow braids looked just as fresh as they did yesterday, so I kept them in.  To change things up a bit, I added two small French braids on either side.  Then I pulled all my hair back into a low ponytail and braided the length of my hair in a regular English braid which I made into a braided bun.  Here are some pictures~ the sun was shining again today so they are a little brighter.

Mini-cornrow braids w/ a big bun~ my look for today

Hi everybody,

Today I tried out Lilith Moon's latest hairstyle tutorial~ three small cornrow Dutch braids.  I put the rest of my hair into a big swirly bun and held it in place with two hair clips.

It has been raining and over-cast all day, but I got some hair pictures taken outside anyway. :-)  It's fun to share these with you all!
