Double 4-strand French braids

Hi everyone,

Today I made a center part (I won't call it straight because I have a hard time making truly straight parts!)  Then I braided two 4-strand French braids.  They have the French look on one side and the Dutch look on the other side, which I think is so neat.  I wrapped the ends of my braids into a big bun.  Thank you for coming by to see my pictures!

Fancy Four-strand Updo

Hello friends,

Today I made a four-strand French/Dutch braid, with two small accent braids on either side.  I wrapped all my braids into a big low bun, held in place with hairclips and bobby pins.  I like the way four-strand braids are French on one side and Dutch on the other, a fun combination of looks.  Thank you for following my blog!

Fancy Lace Braid, Braided Bun Updo

Hello friends,

Thank you for all the views and comments~ I think we will soon reach 100,000 pageviews!  I so enjoy posting pictures and sharing hairstyles and braids with you all.  Today I tried a four-strand lace braid where one section was actually a small English accent braid.  I ended up doing the same accent braid idea on each side, but the left lace braid is a 3-strand and the right lace braid is 4-strand.  I'm probably the only one who notices~ no reason for doing it this way, except that my hands were tired of keeping the different strands separate from each other ;-)

Four-strand French braid~ my look for today

I love the look of a French braid made with four-strands as opposed to the normal three-strand version. It's neat how one side of the braid looks like a French braid and the other side looks like a Dutch braid. Here are some more pictures of my look for today:

My braid was too long to wear all the way down, so I folded it up till it was a comfortable length. Then I wrapped the end of my braid around several times and clipped it in place.

Four-strand braids are a nice way to make your hair look super thick!

Thanks for looking at my post :-)
