Disney Princesses, and Hair pictures with Rapunzel!

Hi everybody,

Last month when I was at Disney World, Rapunzel heard that my sister and I were in line to meet Anna and Elsa in the Fairytale Princess Hall and sent us a special invitation to come visit her! One of the workers escorted us from the exit all the way around to the entrance, right up to the front of the line to see Cinderella and Rapunzel. How exciting!

Meeting the Tremaines~ 5-strand French Braid

Hello everybody,

I got to meet Lady Tremaine and her two daughters when I was at Disney World! Anastasia (in pink) saw me standing in line, and called out something about my hair and how Rapunzel was in line to meet them. When my turn came, they grabbed my braid and went on and on about how long it was. Drizella counted to see how many strands I had used, and then she and her sister started gathering flowers and twigs to decorate my braid like Rapunzel's. Lady Tremaine was upset to hear that Rapunzel had invited me to her castle especially to meet her and take hair pictures together. She and her daughters never get invited anywhere! For our picture together, Lady Tremaine put my braid across her shoulders like a stole, and Anastasia held my umbrella that matched her dress.
After saying good-bye I couldn't stop smiling, and walked around Disney World for several hours with the flowers still in my hair. Such a fun visit!

5-strand braid, French braid

5-Strand French Braid

I did it! I finally managed to do a five-strand French braid on myself! It was not as hard as I thought it would be, once I got the over-under-over-under pattern down. The key to adding hair is: start braiding right-to-left. Add hair to the outmost right strand, weave it over-under-over, then hold those sections in place with your right hand while you add hair to the outmost left strand. Then with the fingers on your left hand, manage to twist the outmost left strand up and over, so that the original section is "underneath" this outmost left strand and your o-u-o-u pattern is complete. Then you start all over again from the right side. Hopefully this explanation makes sense~ now for some pictures :-)
